Women in Ag Award 2025 – Apply now!

The Women in Ag Awards are back for 2025 – and you (or someone you know) could be the next inspiring voice we celebrate!

The role of women in agriculture, in the agribusiness and in the agricultural sciences is changing worldwide. The Women in Ag Awards pay tribute to this commitment and tell the stories behind these inspiring women.

In collaboration with the DLG, Women in Ag Magazine will be hosting the fourth edition of the Women in Ag Awards at AgriTechnica (Hannover, Germany) this year. The Women in Ag Awards give women from all over the world the opportunity to tell their stories and present their impressive achievements. In recent years, women from more than 40 nations have applied, and they all have one thing in common: they are heard and build a strong network that supports and connects them.

“After the previous editions of the Women in Ag Awards on both Eurotier and Agritechnica, I am thrilled that the DLG and Women in Ag Magazine can announce that they will continue their collaboration and work towards a fourth edition of the Awards at Agritechnica this year”, says Kim Schoukens, editor in chief and founder of Women in Ag Magazine. “It’s amazing how these Awards bring women active in the agricultural industry from all over the world together for one goal: to spread positive stories and motivate other women in our industry. We are so much more capable than we often take credit for and we deserve to be a little prouder of ourselves. That’s what these Awards aim to do for women in agriculture and why I would encourage women in our industry to stop hesitating or thinking they are somehow not ‘enough’ and just apply. I promise you it will be worth it!”

“I’m really looking forward to the award ceremony at Agritechnica, meeting all the new nominees and winners and to get to write their story in next year’s Women in Ag Magazines.”

“This award is more than just recognition and winning – it’s about visibility, empowerment, and building connections that make a difference”, the official announcement by the DLG states.

Like previous editions, candidates can apply for four categories: agriculture, agribusiness, education and technology & research. The Women in Ag Awards is open to applications from women across the world working in agriculture and agribusiness; agricultural machinery; research and development; education and journalism and agri-blogging/agvocating online. “Let’s try to shed our imposter syndrome and stop thinking we are not good enough” Kim says. “Let’s instead be proud of our achievements and be the inspiration for future generations of women by increasing the visibility of women in our industry. All you have to do is apply.”

Applications can be submitted online on the Women in Ag Award website. Each candidate may only apply for one category and only complete applications – including a completed online form, a portrait photo and two high-resolution photos of your agricultural activities and a short portrait video in English or your native language with English subtitles (max. 2 min.) – will be considered. Participation is free of charge and possible until 31 July 2025, after which an international jury of women experts in farming, science, research and media will evaluate all submissions based on quality and clarity of professional presentation; innovation in approach and practice; contribution to the advancement of agriculture-related topics and positive impact on the local or global farming community. The jury will also take into account regional, national and continental differences when assessing entries.

Winners will be celebrated at AgriTechnica 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery, taking place 9 – 15 November 2025 in Hanover, Germany.
